Cute and comfy RPG sandbox. A little bare-bones in terms of cosmetic content on release, which was important to the creative aspect, but otherwise excellent. This game was extraordinarily, stunningly beautiful, with a fantastic visual style and highly engaging environments. I don't even like Norse mythology as a theme in the media I consume, but Valheim was good enough for me to make an exception.
There's nothing revolutionary about Valheim: It's not so special as to fundamentally shift the genre of RPG sandboxes. But on its own, its quality is exceptional.
