This is probably my favorite book, ever. It brought a whole lot of my different values in literature together and entirely circumvented the nightmarish landmines which generally make me adverse to reading fantasy novels. It was written very tactfully, masterfully blending together a relaxed sense of humor, vibrant characters, and a fun setting all on top of some especially meaningful undertones to create an experience that was enjoyable to cruise through and meaningful to reflect on.
The reflection value of the story is probably what made it the most impactful for me, simply on the merit of being educational on a very emotional level that I wouldn't have been able to reach given the environment I was raised in. The story and its characters hit me at the right time in my life, I suppose, to have a tremendous impact on me. (view spoiler)
Overall, Symphony of Blistered Skies Shifting Tides is an extremely mindfully written and fantastically gratifying book which I will always be happy to recommend to my friends.
