Firedrake is written in an extremely boring style with no substance to its story, world, or characters. What's worse, the most memorable thing about the book was some incredibly awkward and uncomfortable scenes straying into inappropriate adult territory. If you're looking for mindless hack and slash fantasy, you're better off going elsewhere.
