Betrayal at House on the Hill

Terrifyingly boring and uninteresting. All of the player actions at every point of the game, before or after the supposed "haunt", are scripted and meaningless. All of the games stats and movement options have no real strategic meaning whatsoever, things just sort of happen and you accept it without ever once making a plan more than one turn out. The aesthetics and flavor text are pitifully poorly executed. To top it all off, the game's downtime is beyond excessive, and one might spend more time bickering about the rules than anything else not out of a lack of clarity, necessarily, but out of sheer boredom. It is also worth pointing out that the health/stat trackers are horrifically designed and nearly impossible to use effectively; I found myself using a pen and paper to keep track of each of the four numbers for fear of completely throwing out a session due to accidentally ever-so-slightly jostling the table, which would throw the stat tracker into a state of disarray.
